1. Content of the consultation
The client wanted to obtain a patent for a newly developed mechanical device idea, so he consulted us.
2. Solution
We conducted a prior art search on the Japan Patent Office’s patent information platform J-PlatPat. As a result, we found patent documents similar to the client’s idea, but the constituent elements and the problem to be solved were different, and we thought that the client’s idea had a more advantageous effect on the problem than other inventions, so we determined that it had novelty and inventive step.
