Procedures for specific succession of trademarks
1. Content of consultation
Mr. A contacted us to ask if there was a way to transfer his pending trademark B to a company he established himself.
2. Solution
First, to change trademark B from Mr. A to company C, a notification of change of applicant name is prepared. Next, a transfer deed is prepared to transfer the rights arising from the trademark registration application for trademark B from Mr. A to company C. If a patent attorney is used to represent Mr. A in these procedures, two individual powers of attorney are prepared for each of the successor and transferor.
