The client contacted our firm seeking a patent for a new information system under development.
2. Solution
After conducting a prior art search using the Japan Patent Office’s patent information platform, J-PlatPat, we determined that the information system in question was novel and involved an inventive step. Therefore, we prepared patent claims, a specification, and drawings based on the idea and design of the information system, and considered filing a patent application.
