After conducting a prior art search using the Japan Patent Office’s patent information platform, J-PlatPat, we determined that the measuring device in question was novel and involved an inventive step. Therefore, we prepared patent claims, a specification, and drawings based on multiple examples and experimental results, and considered filing a patent application.
